Cryme Tyme

Ive mentioned this is other threads but I thought Id start one about it....

How come theyre not number one contenders?

They won the tag team turmoil match at New Years Revolution which, according to JR, made them number one contenders for the titles then held by Rated RKO. However, John Cena and HBK got a shot and won them. I realise this is for the Wrestlemania feud which comes above the tag division but is this just the WWE being unprofessional again and forgetting their own angles? or did they change their mind after Triple H's injury and decide to make Cena and HBK champs for the benefit of Wrestlemania?
It'll probably be a long time now until Cryme Tyme get a shot, I think Cena and HBK will keep them for a while and as 2 of the companys top faces theyre not going to lose them to a)other faces and b) two gimmick based guys whove only been in the company a few months

What do you think??

I think they realised Cryme Tyme are heavily gimmick-dependant, BUT I raised a similar question, when The World's Greatest Tag Team beat Cryme Tyme after, which should have made TWGTT new #1 contenders. It would be tremendous for Benjamin & Haas (the heels) steal the titles back and bring them back down to mid-card level.

I think that Cena and Michaels will drop the titles soon, I cant see them still having them at WM. I personally dont like Cryme Tyme as like someone said they do depend on their gimmick too much and I cant stand it.

You are right and raw basically only has a couple of "tag teams" like cryme tyme and the wgtt

Yet when The Spirit Squad were the Champs people were begging someone like DX to take the belts off them to restore some prestige and bring the belts back to main event level, make up your minds people!

Cryme Tyme are decent performers, their ring skills are improving, but aren't great, IMO TWGTT shold be no. 1 contenders, they've been there before and in the past they've proven they can hang with the main eventers.

Just to butt in on this conversation..I am not one of those people saying DX should win them,
However I didnt like the spirit squad as champs. I dont see the Spirit Squad as credible tag champs. TWGTT would be great champs I agree

Plus WGTT (Worlds greatest Tag Team) are much more talented and not completely gimmick based
