- Yesterday, Stone Cold Steve Austin appeared on WGN Morning News to promote his new movie, “The Condemned”. While on the show, Steve Austin commented that he is all together done with professional wrestling even though he had a great job doing WrestleMania this past weekend. He said he wants to be know as the guy who makes cool movies.

- Writer and Director Richard Kelley updated fans on the status of his film, Southland Tales, which stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Kevin Smith, and Sarah Michelle-Gellar. The film was received poorly at the Cannes Film Festival last year. On his Myspace blog, Kelley wrote the following:

"We have finally gotten the greenlight from Sony for the additional round of visual effects for Southland Tales. This is VERY GOOD NEWS for the film! We will now be able to finish the film properly. Phew! The film will be completely finished for the first public screening sometime mid-summer."

He just did it to promote his movie. He dosen't really want to be part of WM. Just want more people to notice him

Can you explain to me how Austin is a sellout?
Austin can't wrestle anymore because of his neck injury, The Rock doesn't have any injury stopping him from wrestling.

About time Austin called it quits.
No more special appearances from him every Mania now.

How does austin being a sellout change the fact that the rock is a sellout?

They both suck imo all they care about is money.

Austin will make sporadic appearances over the years but he'll never return full time. Theres no way WM23 is the last time we see Austin in the ring. Austin has a lifetime contract with WWE which I know means movies but that also means PR from time to time.

you know, I kinda miss seeing Rock wrestling. Its a bad deal though, because his movies suck.

how is austin a fucking sellout? ofcourse hes threw with wrestling his injured the rock is a mother fucking sellout cause theres nothing wrong with him(cept his acting talent) but refuses to come so stfu and know wtf your talking about and austin rocks.

Why does everyone keeping calling Rock and Austin sell outs? The Rock is more a sell out than Austin cos he had no injury forcing him to quite but with both guys, if they want to do movies let them do movies. WWE don't need anyone, and it's their choice what they want to do anyway.

There are bigger legends still within the company IMO (HBK, Undertaker) and it is time to stop looking to the past of the business and think about who the next stars are going to be. It will be a shame not to see Austin on WWE TV again but life goes on. He only came back to promote stuff anyway.
