| I think it is so funny. Al Gore is trying to be the white knight riding in to save the world from global warming. What a fucking idiot. He owns many mines polluting many waterways and natural habitats around his mines. Lets not forget the man owns oil refininaries polluting the same planet he is trying to supposedly help by bringing awareness about global warming. If the guy would shut the fuck up and not act like a god damned white knight. If he would do this, nothing would be said from me. But when you have profit making facility using chemicals and emmiting exhausts contributing to global warming, you can't make yourself a self appointed leader for reformation of our ways. nuff said. | |

| He also consumes 20 times more electricity every year than the average American homeowner. Don't forget his carbon inefficient private jets and limosines either.
But still, I don't see what Gore is doing as "suprising." He may be a hypocrite, but this is overlooked in the scheme of things. Remember, this is a political agenda. Gore is taking an issue to push his own motives onto other people and assuming the role of being our savior. Whether his documentary was one sided or whether he is politicizing an issue to gain mainstream attention is not seen as the issue apparently.
It is sad how this issue seems to be emerging. People seem to be forgetting how the scientific method works. When someone proposes a hypothesis, you perform experiements and record your observations. You study the issue in depth. This means allowing scientists on both sides of the spectrum to discuss their observations. However, today we have a case where a theory is being accepted as a truth. The other side of the issue isn't discussed and whenever it is, they'll give a "what if" scenario. These people are fear mongurers and frankly its a pathetic.
This issue has been decided based off "facts" presented by one side. The fact that their theory still isn't proven isn't even recognized by their "facts."
50 years ago it was global cooling, and today they talk about global warming. Throughout time there have been scieentific issues which have caused much debate. These popular scientific issues should be discussed and debated. However, when we allow people to politicize an important issues like global warming to push their own agendas, we dismiss the possiblity of discussion and allows these types of people to assume victory. And sadly, that is what they are doing today. This is why so many arguements against global warming are either disregarded or ignored.
The fact remains that there is still no concrete evidence to support many of the assumptions which have been made pertaining to global warming.

Yeah I forgot to include the fact it is to make him into a big political figure. That was a point I was going to make and forgot to include. How did that happen. Anyways, If he didn't do half the things he does, I wouldn't mind. but he is a big hypocrite and that makes the issue a different story.
